Behavioral Health Support Liaison

The Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools (FCSS) created the Behavioral Health Support Liaison (BHSL) position to help fill the communication gap that often exists between the schools and medical facilities/crisis units when youth are referred and/or placed on a 5150 hold. The BHSL’s role is to facilitate communication between the medical system, the family/youth and the school, along with linking the youth and family to needed resources.
